The world is littered with individuals who took a chance on themselves and, along the way, made the world a better place by positively impacting those around them and providing opportunity and optionality to the next generation.
Taking a thoughtful chance on an individual is sometimes all that is needed to start something special. However, more importantly, taking a thoughtful chance on yourself is the essential first step. Although we all have the ability and opportunities to take a leap of faith, people who do so remain scarce among the collective. This rarity may stem from a range of reasons, but maybe we have reached a moment in time when taking a chance on ourselves can become more common.
Maybe, just maybe, we have reached a point in time when it is safe to take a chance on ourselves—and far more catastrophic if we don’t.
